"I figured I had been the last goalkeeper selected and becoming just a little cheer too," Elliott stated. "I acquired some texts from my buddy and buddies and family stating that was pretty awesome. You relax and realize everyone's tugging for you personally … unless of course you are a Walnut Leaf (fan). It is a great hockey city plus they appreciate everyone."
Team captain Daniel Alfredsson stated he was pleased to take his former teammate, mostly while he deserved very good.
"I believe his story is a superb story," Alfredsson stated. "I understand he battled around this past year. To determine him recover such as this, I understand how competitive and just how hard he works and just how much he prepares themself constantly. He's an excellent guy. I had been really pleased to pick him for my team.
"I figured all of us required the brunt very good this past year. You cannot pick out anybody. That's certainly not fair. He reaches show this season he's a top-notch goalkeeper. I am happy for him for that start he's had this season but for the contract."
As little as Elliott was as he left Ottawa in Feb, he can not be much greater than he's for his return.
